The Big Pink head up the names for new Oxford event OX4 Festival.
The debut bash, which will take place on 10 October, is the brainchild of Truck and Wood Festival organisers.
Amazing Baby, Jonquil, Dalek and Action Beat are also set to play the first edition of OX4, which takes place across ten venues along The Cowley Road.
Speaking about the festival, boss Robin Bennett said: “We’ve wanted to bring that SXSW vibe to our hometown for ages – and now we have.
“We’re really excited about showing off just what The Cowley Road has to offer and, although it’s indoors, feel free to wear your wellies and get into that festival mood,” he continued.
This Town Needs Guns, Witches, Stornoway, Stricken City and Baby Gravy have also been confirmed along with Dial ‘F’ For Frankenstein, Dusty And The Dreaming Spires, Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band, Matt Sage And The Medicine and UTE.
OX4 Festival 2010 will also have art, poetry, comedy, films and food as well as Oxfam campaigning for climate change with workshops, tasters, talks and lessons in all things arty.
