Show cut short after an object was thrown onstage

The band, who played on Saturday (15 August) night, were unable to continue following the incident as Allender
was taken to hospital for treatment.
Festival organisers released the following statement, "One selfish
ticketholder soured an amazing day and a stunning performance by the closing headliners.
“We're hoping
that the rest of the fans in attendance will enjoy the rest of the weekend with the camaraderie and unity that has made Bloodstock
Open Air the great festival it is.”
Europe, Carcass, Saxon
and Arch Enemy also performed at Bloodstock Open Air 2009 which took place at Catton Hall, Derbyshire from 14-16
August.
