Swine flu stops The Streets Summer Sundae show

Mike Skinner and Co were due to headline the Leicester event, but the singer, who recently contracted swine flu himself, broke news of the cancellation on his Twitter page.

Skinner tweeted: “and just as i get the all clear, my bass player wayney is diagnosed with swine flu”. He then went on to confirming that the show won’t got ahead writing: “sorry to be tweeting so much. this weekends shows have been cancelled though. I'll stop tweeting now”.

There has been no news of a replacement as yet and The Charlatans, Bon Iver and The Zutons will continue with their headline slots this weekend.

Summer Sundae Weekender 2009
will take place at De Montfort Hall, Leicester from 14-16 August.
