Injury forces Scots out of Leicester festival

Francis Whittaker - 04 August 2009
The band have pulled out due to an injury sustained by drummer/singer John Baillie Junior during a show
in Australia.
Baillie Junior collided with a photographer's tripod after falling into the
audience at a gig at the Annandale Hotel in Sydney, meaning Wild Beasts
- who released their critically acclaimed 'Two Dancers' album this week - will take their place on the Rising Stage
at De Montford Hall and Gardens on 15 August.
Baillie Junior said of the incident: “I hit the floor with
my entire body weight on my out stretched elbow, forcing it the wrong way (“hyper-extended” I’ve since learned)
I heard a ‘click’ and felt immediate pain.”
Summer Sundae Weekender 2009 takes place between 14-16 August and
will feature sets by The Charlatans, The Zutons, The Streets and Bon
Iver.
