Kendal Calling sells out
United Kingdom | 28 July 2009
All the tickets for this year's Kendal Calling have been snapped up.
For the forth successive year the festival has sold out by fans hoping to see the likes of The Streets, Goldie Lookin’ Chain and more.
Speaking about the sell out, organiser Ben Robinson said, “To have increased capacity again and to sell-out again with several days still to go is absolutely fantastic. Word has clearly spread from last year's festival which had an amazing atmosphere, and of course great line-up.
“There's already a real buzz about this year and we've had lots of enthusiastic feedback regarding the new location and the range of acts booked. I think a lot of people go to festivals to see not only their favourite bands but for the opportunity to discover acts they wouldn't otherwise listen to or hear about, and our line-up this year certainly offers that. From the likes of Kasms and Tunng to The Zutons and Skream and we have some of the best established and up and coming bands of their genre.”
Kendal Calling 2009 will take place at Lowther, Penrith in Cumbria from 31 July to 2 August.
