Beck injured at Field Day Festival

Beck was forced to pull out of the New York Field Day festival on Saturday (June 7), when a stagehand accidentally hit him
in the ribs as he watched Blur perform, from the side of the stage.
Medics feared that the injury could puncture Beck's lung if
he performed his set at the event, which had been relocated to the Giants Stadium, at the eleventh hour,
due to licensing problems with the original site.
A statement on Beck's official website said, "Fortunately there
was nothing broken but Beck was in considerable pain and discomfort.
He tried to go back and do something acoustically but the complicated logistics of the festival made it impossible. He sends

The new Field Day festival suffered from legal and political issues in the weeks leading up to the
event, culminating in a venue being secured last week and tickets going on sale on Wednesday (June 4).
