United Kingdom | 30 June 2009
Kasabian have been announced as headliners for this year's Liverpool Music Week.
The band, famed for hits like recent single ‘Fire’ and ‘Processed Beats’, will play the Echo Arena on 16 November.
The Enemy and Reverend and the Makers will also appear at Liverpool University (8 November) and Nation ‘Courtyard’ (7 November) respectively.
LMW Director James Barton said: “Liverpool Music Week has gone from strength to strength over the last 7 years and attracted some of the UK’s biggest acts, this year we’ve secured Kasabian our biggest headliner to date, attracting a band of this stature proves just how far the festival has come.”
Liverpool Music Week 2009 is the UK’s biggest indoor winter music festival, a musical showcase that features big name acts and gives a performance platform for fresh emerging talent, a number of which have gone on to reach nationwide success.
Last years event attracted a record breaking 65,000 people to the city and is a combination of free and ticketed shows. The winning format returns in 2009 to stage over 50 events across 16 venues and play host to over 250 live bands.
