After securing his long-term headline targets of Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen for this
year, the festival chief declared, “we will not do better than this year.”
Despite that, he
still urged people "[not to] lose interest though, because it’s going to be a great show.”
But he wasn’t ready to give away any names for 2010 saying, “We’ve got one or two headliners that
haven’t played for a few years and one or two that have never played here. But I’m not going to tell you names
for that one; it will be the same old guessing game.
“But it will not be better than this year. It has been
fantastic with Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen.”
Glastonbury Festival 2009 continues today with Blur, The Prodigy
and Echo And The Bunnymen.
