The Dead Weather to play Special Guest slot at Glasto

Jack White's latest project will play the Park Stage tonight

The guitarist, who was a secret guest last year with The Last Shadow Puppets will perform on in the Emily Eavis curated arena with Alison Mosshart from The Kills.

Twittering about the news, Glastonbury Festival said: “Shhh! Jack "White Stripes" White's new band Dead Weather are playing a surprise set in The Park today at 6.45pm.”

Other bands set to perform on the same stage today (Friday) include Golden Silvers, James Hunter, The Horrors and Animal Collective.

Elsewhere on the Pyramid Stage, Gabrielle Cilmi was the first artist to lead the Michael Jackson tribute putting a few lines from his classic track ‘Billie Jean’ into her set.
