Glastonbury: pack sunglasses and a mack
United Kingdom | 22 June 2009
Despite reports of predicted monsoons, it looks like Glastonbury-goers can expect a fine weekend of weather with the chance of a few showers on Saturday night.
Those packing their bags for the UK’s Best Major should make sure they’ve got both sunglasses and wellies for the weekend as the promising sunny start for the weekend will turn to rain up the time The Boss takes to the stage, according to MetCheck.
Those arriving early can expect glorious sunshine on the Wednesday (24 June) with highs of 22C, a temperature that looks set to stick for the Thursday (25 June) despite cloudy weather.
It will remain cloudy on the Friday (26 June) with temperatures pushing to a weekend high of 23C, even with plenty of clouds, before the showers start on a warm (22C) Saturday (27 June) afternoon.
Sunday (28 June) is expected to be and the coolest day of the weekend with highs of just 20C.
So slap on the suncream and don’t forget your waterproofs!
