Mongrel and more added to WOMAD bill

Female Geordie folk act Rachel Unthank and The Winterset and indie super-group Mongrel (comprising of Arctic Monkey’s original bassist Andy Nicholson,
Babyshambles’ Drew McConnell and Reverend and The Makers’ Jon McClure) join
Peter Gabriel and Solomon Burke at the three-day event.
Also announced are Colombian
outfit Cimmarón and Swiss-Peruvian duo Radiokijada, who will be causing a stir on
the Siam stage.
The Ethiopiques, Snowboy and The Black Arm Band
are just some of the wide variety of acts appearing at WOMAD 2009,
which takes place in Charlton Park in Malmesbury, Wiltshire on 24-26 July.

Standard weekend camping tickets are on sale
now, priced at £125, and a limited number of day tickets for the bash are available for £60.
There are also a teenager ticket special, while children under 13 go free.
