Don't you Wight me baby
The Human League entertain campers at IOW Festival

12 June 2009
For the thousands of fans that pitched their tents early, the band played tracks like ‘(Keep Feeling) Fascination’,
‘Mirror Man’ and the track the crowd seemed to be waiting for ‘Don’t You Want Me Baby’.
Earlier on in the day King meets Queen –
a tribute act that mixes songs from Elvis Presley and Queen - performed with a Butlins style professionalism in the Big Top
with ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ getting the best response.
Ticket-holders were in high spirits around the
site as fans watched local artists on The Bandstand and cover acts in the Hipshaker tent, with one reveller Simon, from the
Isle of Wight telling us: “Yeah, we always get here early to start drinking. I don’t really like anyone on
today but The Prodigy are going to be fat tomorrow.”
The Isle Of Wight Festival 2009 continues today with sets from The Prodigy,
Basement Jaxx, Pendulum and more.
