X-Press 2, Diplo among latest names for Best Medium Festival

X-Press 2, Diplo and Justin Robertson will be taking to the decks at the festival, which won Best Medium Festival at the UK Festival Awards.

Richard Norris (Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve), Idjut Boys, Annie Nightingale and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble will also perform over the weekend as organisers announce that the All Star Lanes will take the first ever outdoor bowling alley to a UK Festival.

Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton will also play at the London event alongside Black Joe Lewis.

Duran Duran and Groove Armada will headline the festival with N*E*R*D, Simian Mobile Disco, Friendly Fires and more also set to perform.

Lovebox Weekender 2009 will take place at Victoria Park, Hackney in London from 18-19 July.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £75 (plus booking fee) for a weekend pass and £42.50 (plus booking fee) per day ticket.

Lovebox will have seven stages of music with dance, funk, soul, reggae, indie, world and pop all sharing the diverse line-up

Alternative entertainment comes in the shape of workshops, yoga, Tai Chi, a flying circus and other side attractions. Onsite there are plenty of food and drink concessions and even a fun fair.

The festival is a non-camping affair which gives revellers the opportunity to catch some kip in a decent bed.

The site is open each day runs from about 10am - 10pm.
