Glade announce drum n bass arena

Andy C, Marky and more confirmed for the Vapor Stage

A standalone day and night of Drum & Bass has been announced for Glade Festival's Vapor Stage this summer.

He will be joined by Brazilian heavyweight Marky, who may treat the crowd to a bout of his infamous up-side down scratching, UK sensation Noisia as well as Fresh and Cyantific.

DJs Phantasy and Maxxi P are also set to feature alongside DJ Mr Nice, who put the idea forward to Glade oragnisers.

He had this to say about the appointments: “I find the prospect of the drum & bass tent at this year`s Glade Festival extremely exciting. It makes us very proud to bring together the scene’s biggest names alongside some of the UK’s most in demand breakthrough talent. We handpicked artists who have done us proud time after time - bringing electric vibes and real passion for the music.”

Today's Drum & Bass announcements conclude with a concoction of MCs that includes Andy C's vocal sidekick GQ, IC3, Bensta, Script and Johnny G.

Underworld, Squarepusher and Booka Shade are set to headline Glade Festival 2009 which is set to take place at the Matterley Bowl, Winchester, Hampshire from 16 – 19 July.

Festival passes for the dance event are on sale priced at £125 (+booking fee). Under 12s go free if accompanied by an adult.
