David Kitt to headline Oxegen stage
IMRO New Sounds Stage line-up revealed

The stage is set to host a trio of Irish headliners in singer-songwriter David Kitt, Malahide four-piece Director and folky soul outfit Villagers.
Kitt is set to top
the bill on the Friday (10 July) and will be joined by Irish duo Heathers,
Welsh band The Joy Formidable and The Flaws as well as emerging Belfast sensations Yes
Cadets and Cashier No.9.
The Mighty Stef, Ruth Anne Cunningham, The Brilliant
Things, Home Star Runner and Stone Motion complete the bill which will usher in the weekend.
On the Saturday (11 July), Director are set to be
joined by Northern Irish trio General Fiasco, Texan
songwriter St Vincent, local band Codes, And So
I Watch You From Afar, Cap Pas Cap and the richly talented Joe Echo.
Nightbox,
Angel Pier, Jenna Toro and Carosel, who have been hotly tipped by Regina Spektor and Feist,
complete Saturday's IMRO stage line-up.
Wintersleep,
one of Canada's best new exports, are down to back up Villagers,
Sunday's bill toppers, alongside Broken Records, Concerto For Constantine and Dark Room Notes.
Blood Or Whiskey, The Chakras, The Jades as well as Andrew Hozier Byrne and Bone
complete the full set of names for the special arena.

very finest emerging Irish acts alongside their international counterparts at Ireland's biggest live music festival. The
IMRO New Sounds Stage will profile what's "hot" for 2009 and beyond and if last year is anything to go by then
it promises to be one of the busiest stages at OXEGEN 09.”
As actional unfolds on the IMRO New Sounds Stage the main arenas will be welcoming headliners Blur, Kings Of Leon and The Killers as well as the likes of Snow Patrol, Elbow, Bloc Party, 2 Many DJs and many many more.

2009 will take place at Punchestown Racecourse, County Kildare from 10-12 July.
