After listening to almost 1400 entries, the judging panel has decided to give Tango In The Attic, Little
Eskimos, Mike Nisbit a helping hand in their career by giving them an opportunity to play Scotland’s
biggest festival.
My Cousin I Bid You Farewell, The French Quarter, Punch
And The Apostles and Dead Boy Robotics will also appear over the weekend as well as Ming
Ming And The Ching Chings, Barn Owl and We Are Trapped In Kansas.
G1ft,
Maple Leaves, Gong Fei and Homework have also been selected along with
Brother Louis Collective and Popolo.
One of the judging panel, Radio 1’s
Vic Galloway said: “It’s been a difficult job as ever to whittle the entries down to just
16, the sheer quality and diversity of unsigned music in Scotland never fails to surprise me.
“This is a
great selection of the new talent out there right now and I can’t wait to head to the tent and check them out. These
bands prove just how vibrant and impressive the Scottish music scene is.”
Kings Of Leon, The
Killers, Blur and Snow Patrol are set to headline this year's event with Pet Shop Boys, Franz Ferdinand,
The Specials, Lily Allen and Elbow
also on the bill
