The John Peel favourites will be joined by Amorphous Androgynous who will play in their own right before
curating 11 hours of Monsterous Psychedelic Bubble.
Hawkwind, Alisha
Sufit, The Yellow Moon Band and Nick Nicely will all be performing as well as Cranium
Pie with DJ sets from Andy Votel and Gaz Cobain.
Erol Alkan
and Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve will also take to the decks with Gang Gang Dance, Wave
Machines and Cate Le Bon also confirmed over the weekend.
Animal Collective,
Jarvis Cocker and Wilco will headline the Green Man Festival 2009
which will take place at Glanusk Park, Brecon Beacons in Wales from 21-23 August.
The festival will also feature art installations, literature and film tents, Welsh poetry, art and music, ceilidhs,
theatre, science, comedy, Nature and Nurture massage area, a daily dusk till dawn bonfire and impromptu jamming sessions
Organisers have also announced the first of many new hidden surprises: Einstein's Garden, which will introduce
thought provoking green issues in a fun and informative way.
There will also be plenty on offer for families with
an extended children’s area which will have more workshops, entertainment and much more.
Tickets are on sale
now with organisers announcing a special 'Holiday Ticket' this year, which allows festival-goers to extend their stay
for a further three-days and make the event a holiday as well as a festival for just an extra £30.
