The Wombats added as details emerge for the new arena

All three will play The Queen’s Head stage, which used to be housed in the Other Field, on the Thursday (25
June) of the festival.
As revealed yesterday (Wednesday) the new arena, named after Michael Eavis’
grandfather, will be housed between the Pyramid Stage and Acoustic Field – where the
Left Field Tent stood last year.
Another new venue, The Snug, which will offer DJ sets and Singstar
sessions, will be next to The Queen’s Head, while relaxed grooves tent Chai Wallah and Joe Banana’s Silent Disco
will also be found in the new arena.
Organisers will also erect a double sided 25-metre square screen will be showing
short films, highlights of performances on the main stages from the previous day and performances from the Queen’s
Head.
William’s Green is also set to offer street theatre, walkabout performances, a new
circus stage, a Reggae Delights sound system, The Bandstand and shopping and eating stalls.
Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Blur
will headline this year's Glastonbury Festival 2009
which take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset from 24-28 June.
