Indie Guitar Music Festival cancelled

The Indie Guitar Music Festival has been the second event to be cancelled in a week, with the financial climate figuring heavily in the decision.

Virtual Festivals received the following statement: “Sadly the festival has had to be cancelled, there are a multitude of reasons why, but fundamentally if we go ahead with it Indie Guitars, who have been solely sponsoring the festival from the beginning will suffer dramatically. Therefore we're forced to make a very difficult decision based on that fact. Elevated costs and a very difficult financial climate have been instrumental in this situation.

As a guitar manufacturer we have ongoing commitments to our dealer base, employees, manufacturing companies etc etc, and we cannot continue to put all of those people and companies at risk, hence our decision to cancel the festival sooner rather than later has been made.”

British Sea Power, Starsailor and more were set to perform at the event.
