Spinal Back: the Tap to play Glastonbury
Rockumentary legends' 'One Night Only Tour' extends

08 May 2009
As part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of classic rockumentary ‘This Is Spinal Tap’, the band have
extended their ‘One Night Only Tour’ at Wembley Arena to include a stop off a Worthy
Farm as well.
Speaking to Philadelphia Daily News Christopher Guest, who plays guitarist Nigel Tufnel
in the film, said: “We originally thought about doing a full-blown "Tap" tour this year to mark the 25th
anniversary of the film's release. But that would have been a very big deal in terms of show production, requiring a lot
of effects, two 18-wheelers full of equipment, a tour bus.
“To be honest, we couldn't get that together.
But we will do a couple of "Tap" shows in Britain, at Wembley Arena and the Glastonbury Festival.”
The band, who now perform as a trio, have not specified a stage or day for their appearance.
Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young
and Blur will headline the sold out Glastonbury Festival 2009 which take place at Worthy Farm,
Pilton in Somerset from 24-28 June.
