Splendour in the Grass line-up announced

Bloc Party, MGMT and more to play down under

The two outfits, who are both set to make their only Australian appearance of the year at the festival, will be joined by reformed rockers Janes Addiction, The Flaming Lips and The Specials.

Midnight Juggernauts, Hilltop Hoods and Grinspoon are set to represent the very best in home-grown talent alongside Augie March and the divine Sarah Blasko.

Emerging sensations Friendly Fires and White Lies were also announced today, 21 April, on a line-up that includes Little Birdy, Josh Pyke, The Gutter Twins and Birds of Tokyo.

Things didn’t stop there for the Byron Bay weekender as the likes of Yuksek, Decoder Ring, US indie rockers Manchester Orchestra and many more confirmed.

Splendour In the Grass 2009 is set to take place on the Belongil Fields in the beautiful seaside resort of Byron Bay, Australia from 25 – 26 July.
