There is no better dance event than We Love...Homelands; the first major event in the 2003 UK festival calendar. Over five years it has become synonymous with having cutting edge DJs across all genres of dance as well as a myriad of top live acts. We Love...Homelands 2003 has the best line up yet.

Be warned though, it's looking like rain!

Situated in the middle of the Matterley Bowl it's rather exposed to the odd shower, so best take some waterproofs for both body and feet. Anyone there in the great mudbath of 2000 will tell you that Homelands in the rain sans waterproofs ain't the best place to be!

Forget the weather though, and remember it's all about the music, most of which is in tents, anyway.

Tell a lie though, the RADIO 1 OUTDOOR STAGE is too big for any tent. Always the best place to chill during the day, it's got your fave radio-friendly spinners (Judge Jules, Fergie, Dave Pearce et al) and always possesses the sweet glow of chilled tides and summery vibes.

The junglist rude buoys seem to be running 'tings proper at this year's MOVEMENT ARENA, showcasing a plethora of underground DJs and emcees determined to sustain the current resurgence of drum 'n bass in the mainstream.

Rupert Parkes AKA Photek heads the extensive line-up as his new live project - Do or Die - makes its international debut. Although understandably nervous about such an occasion he has guaranteed that the show will be compulsively cutting-edge. Even if that all goes Pete, a supporting cast of thousands including crowd-pleasers Fabio and Andy C should ensure that visitors to the darkest, loudest tent on site leave dancin' to the riddim.

For one night only, Fabric's Friday will be ripped out of its painfully hip East London base and transported to the canvas temple of eclecticism that is Arena 5. Dance music doesn't sound all the same in this tent. If you're looking to escape the endless anthems or progressive pretentiousness then look no further.
 
In between, a jaw-dropping appearance by the legend that created hip-hop, Grandmaster Flash and Madonna's right-hand man, Jacques Lu Cont, UNKLE's James Lavelle and Richard File are expected to preview new material from their forthcoming album. So don't be too surprised if a tune that re-unites Ian Brown and Mani is dropped amidst others featuring the talents of Josh Homme or Jarvis.

Erol Alkan will then completely trash (sorry - good humour Ed) any boundaries that once defined or divided dance and indie as he seamlessly segues White Stripes, Guns N' Roses and Justin Timberlake with the latest electronica and illicit bootlegs. Talking of which, 2 Many DJs (Soulwax) make their Homelands debut as headliners and will undoubtedly attract one of the event's most up-for-it and out-of-it crowds as they spin new and old mash-ups designed to test the patience of record companies everywhere.
