By Rail:

IMPORTANT TRAIN INFORMATION
There will be NO trains between London Paddington and Reading over the festival weekend. GO TO/ FROM WATERLOO INSTEAD where South West Trains will be running extra trains for the festival and there will be late trains to get you home at the end of the night.

Day Ticket Holders

There will be no trains at all between Paddington and Reading on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. You'll need to go from/ to Waterloo where extra trains are being put on for the festival.

To get home there will be two late trains leaving Reading and going to Waterloo. These will leave at 24.30 and 01.30 on Saturday morning, Sunday morning and Monday morning.

Weekend Ticket Holders

There will be a reduced service between Paddington and Reading on Thursday and Friday. Our advice is to go via Waterloo.

There will be 4 trains an hour from Waterloo until 1900. After this time there will be 2 trains per hour.

To get home trains will again be going to Waterloo. There will be 2 late trains in the early hours of Monday morning, leaving Reading at 24.30 and 01.30.

Our advice would be to leave as early as possible on Monday morning, especially as the Notting Hill Carnival is also on today. There will be 2 trains an hour to Waterloo from approx 6am to 8am. After this time there will be 4 trains per hour for the rest of the afternoon so there will be plenty trains to get you all home in time for a cooked breakfast and a hot bath!

Recommended Alternative Routes

· Avoid travelling via London if at all possible. Use alternative routes listed below
· Allow extra time for your journey
· Reserve seats in advance if possible. (Note: this is not possible for Waterloo/ Reading service)
· Check websites listed above regularly to plan your journey.

From/ to London
Use Waterloo/ Reading route.

From/ To the West Country, South Wales and Bristol
Services will be reduced by one third throughout the festival due to major engineering works. Check websites for more information, reserve seats in advance where possible and allow extra time for your journey.

From/ To North and East Kent
Use Waterloo East instead of Charing Cross, and Waterloo/ Reading route.
Waterloo and Waterloo East are across the road from each other.

From/ To Tonbridge area
Travel via Redhill rather than London

From/ To South Coast (Hasting to Chichester and inland)
Travel via Gatwick rather than London

From/ To Uckfield, East Grinstead area
Travel via Clapham Junction rather than alternative London terminals

From/ To Portsmouth, Weymouth, South West, Cotswolds and West Midlands
Travel on usual routes.

From/ To East Midlands (Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough), North Wales, Merseyside, Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, the North East and Scotland.
Travel via Birmingham and Oxford rather than via London.
Note: Local engineering work between Stafford and Crewe may affect services from N. Wales, Merseyside, Crewe and Preston areas. Check websites for more details and book in advance wherever possible.

From/ To East Anglia and South of Doncaster
Travel via London, using Waterloo/ Reading route. Alternatively from/ to Lincoln, Newark, Grantham and Peterborough, using services via Derby and Birmingham may be quicker.

From/ to Rugby, Northampton, Milton Keynes area
Travel via London, but using Waterloo/ Reading route.
Note: Local engineering work between Rugby and Bletchley and Rugby and Northampton may affect these services. Check websites for more information and book seats in advance wherever possible.

From/ To Aylesbury and Princes Risborough
Travel via London but using Waterloo/ Reading route. Alternatively, via Banbury may be quicker.

From/ To West London to Slough area
Train to Langley or Slough, bus to Maidenhead, train to Reading. From the eastern area e.g. Acton, Ealing Broadway, London Underground and Waterloo/ Reading route may be quicker.

By Road:

Traffic from the East using the M4 exit at Junction 11 and follow Festival signs.
Traffic from the West using the M4, exit at Junction 12 and follow Festival signs.
On leaving the site M4 traffic should take A33 to junction 11 of M4.

Car Parking:

Parking is separate to camp site in adjacent fields.
