Doves added to Lovebox Weekender bill

Noah and the Whale, Ladyhawke and Gang Of Four have also been confirmed for the event which won Best Medium Festival at the 2008 UK Festival Awards.

Other names confirmed today include Mr Hudson, VV Brown, Rokia Traore and one of Virtual Festivals’ picks for 2009 Dan Black.

The latest additions join headliners Duran Duran and Groove Armada as well as N*E*R*D, Simian Mobile Disco, Friendly Fires and more.

Lovebox Weekender 2009 will take place at Victoria Park, Hackney in London from 18-19 July.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £75 (plus booking fee) for a weekend pass and £42.50 (plus booking fee) per day ticket.

Lovebox will have seven stages of music with dance, funk, soul, reggae, indie, world and pop all sharing the diverse line-up

Alternative entertainment comes in the shape of workshops, yoga, Tai Chi, a flying circus and other side attractions. Onsite there are plenty of food and drink concessions and even a fun fair.

The festival is a non-camping affair which gives revellers the opportunity to catch some kip in a decent bed.

The site is open each day runs from about 10am - 10pm.
