Animal Collective to headline Green Man Festival
More names added to the ever-increasing Welsh bill

The band, who have made a breakthrough into the mainstream with their latest album ‘Merriweather Post Pavilion’,
will top the bill on the Friday (21 August) night.
Other names added today include blues legend
Rory Erickson as well as DJhistory and Idjut Boys who will both appear
on the In The Far Out After Dark Stage.
Today’s announcements join British Sea Power, Bon
Iver, Wilco and many more at the Welsh festival.

Tickets are on sale now with organisers announcing a special
'Holiday Ticket' this year, which allows festival-goers to extend their stay for a further three-days and make the
event a holiday as well as a festival for just an extra £30.
The other ticket prices are
as follows:
£115 – adult weekend
£99 – student weekend
£50 – Teen (13-17 years)
Free – 12 years and under

Green Man Festival 2009 will take place at Glanusk Park, Brecon Beacons in
Wales from 21-23 August.
The festival will also feature art installations, literature and film
tents, Welsh poetry, art and music, ceilidhs, theatre, science, comedy, Nature and Nurture massage area, a daily dusk till
dawn bonfire and impromptu jamming sessions
Organisers have also announced the first of many new hidden surprises:
Einstein's Garden, which will introduce thought provoking green issues in a fun and informative way.
There
will also be plenty on offer for families with an extended children’s area which will have more workshops, entertainment
and much more.
