The Offspring and more for Sziget

The quartet, who return to the festival fore this season, have been anounced for Sziget Festival alongside Glaswegians Snow Patrol and German favourites Die Toten Hosen.

 

Keeping things truly international the festival has also confirmed Ukranian ehtno-ska outfit Haydamaky, Finnish band Disco Ensemble and Swedish new wave punkers Backyard babies.

 

The list of additions continues with Superpusher, Coldcut and Birdy Nam Nam all confirmed with a strong electro contingent which includes Blasted Mechanism, Matatu, Miloopa and De Staat as well as Expatriate and Donots.

 

These latest bands join the likes of The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Bloc Party and many more previously confirmed artists.

The festival, one of Europe’s biggest and oldest, will take place once again on Obuda-Hajyogari Island, Budapest from 12 – 17 August.

Daily tickets for Sziget Festival 2009 are now available priced at HUF1200 (approx €40). Camping festival passes are going for HUF45100 (approx €150) with non-camping passes costing HUF36100 (approx €120). Caravan Camping tickets are available for HUF30100 (approx €100).
