Finally, in a touch to secure
Green Man punters with a full weekend of sun and a good old tan to boot, organisers secured the services of five druids fresh
from the annual Stonehenge gathering last Friday.
Fiona Stewart, Green Man Director said: "It's a
tradition that we have a site visit at the start of spring and sample the first cider of the season. This time we thought
why not go one further and organise some really scorching weather. This blessing will bring guaranteed sunshine to all festivals
this summer - it's amazing no-one's ever thought of doing this before."
Rollo Maughfling, Archdruid
of Glastonbury and Stonehenge added: "We performed a genuine Druids' blessing ceremony to celebrate the Spring
Equinox, bless the Green Man Festival site, and the Green Man Festival itself in August. At Green Man's request we extended
the blessing to include other festivals, so they are sunny and warm too."
There you have it, an eclectic
mix of artists and plenty of rays are guaranteed for all at the festival which takes place at Glanusk Park,
nestled within the Brecon Beacons, from 21 – 23 August.
A host of ticket
options are available for all ages whilst a special 'Holiday Ticket', which allows festival-goers to extend their
stay for a further three-days and make the event a holiday as well as a festival, is available for an extra £30.
The other ticket prices are as follows:
£115 – adult weekend
£99 – student weekend
£50 – Teen (13-17 years)
Free – 12 years and under
£30 – Holiday ticket
