Pixies for Southside and Hurricane

Just Jack, Howling Bells among further names

Alternative rock godfathers Pixies have been announced amongst a further set of names for Southside and Hurricane.

The Canadian quartet is to be joined at the twin German festivals by Australian indie-rockers Howling Bells, British sensation Florence and The Machine and German artist Auletta.

‘Starz In Their Eyes’ singer Just Jack is the last of the crop to be added to a high calibre line-up which already boasts Kings of Leon, Nine Inch Nails and Franz Ferdinand.

The Mars Volta, Duffy, Eagles of Death Metal and Anti-Flag are also on the bill together with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Wombats, Ska-P, The Whip and many many more.

Hurricane 2009 will be held at the Eichenring motorcycle circuit near the town of Scheeßel, Northern Germany while

Southside 2009 will take place at Take-Off Park in Neuhausen ob Eck.

Both festivals will run from 19-21 June.

Tickets are already on sale priced at €110 for a weekend pass and camping.
