Snow Patrol head up Radio 1's One Big Weekend

As the two-day event heads to Swindon

Snow Patrol and N-Dubz are the first names confirmed for this year's Radio 1's One Big Weekend.

The two-day event, which changes venue each year, will take place at Lydiard Park, Swindon from 9-10 May.

Speaking about the choice of venue, Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles said: "We always try to bring it to places that don't normally get big events like this. The people of Swindon are going to love it."

20,000 tickets per day are set to be handed out for free with the majority going to residents of Swindon and other local areas.

Those wishing to attend must register their details when registration opens on Tuesday 14 April.
