Noisettes, Saint Etienne for Summer Sundae

Rising pop oddballs Micachu And The Shapes have also added to the bill alongside one of Virtual Festivals' picks of 2009 Dan Black as well as The Joy Formidable, James Yuill and Karima Francis.

Folkster Frank Turner, singer songwriter Teitur and Woodpigeon will also head to the Leicester event along with The Qemists, 65daysofstatic, Oi Va Voi, psychobilly songstress Imelda May and The Jim Jones Revue.

Today's confirmations join headliners The Streets, The Charlatans, The Zutons and Bon Iver as well as Beardyman, Baddies and First Aid Kit.

Summer Sundae Weekender 2009 will take place at De Montfort Hall, Leicestershire from 14-16 August.

Early bird tickets are on sale now and available until 31 March. Prices are as follows:

Adult weekend - £92
Adult weekend camping - £99
Adult and child weekend - £122
Adult and child camping - £129
Adult and two children - £152
Adult and two children camping - £159

Summer Sundae is a family-friendly festival that caters as much for the children as it does the parents. Onsite is an extensive Kid’s Zone which boasts face painting, children's shows, clowns, workshops and breakfast-time fun and bedtime stories.

Summer Sundae Weekender won Best Small Festival back in 2006 at the UK Festival Awards.
