Bloc Party and Lily Allen for Main Square

Bloc Party have been confirmed for this summer's Main Square Festival in Northern France.

They will be joined by fellow brits Lily Allen and Amy Macdonald at the four day event.

The rockers were confirmed to play a distinctly indie thursday night alongside Kaiser Chiefs and the Gossip. Lily Allen is pencilled in for the Friday with headliners Placebo, while Amy Macdonald will help open proceedings on the Wednesday with Coldplay at the helm.

A heavy-weight Sunday bill completes the line-up thus far with Franz Ferdinand, Lenny Kravitz and Moby set to play , backed up by Duffy, Katy Perry and Justin Nozuka.

The announcement highlights a budding musical partnership with Rock Werchter, just across the border in Belgium. With this in mind, a few more big names could be popping down to the Main Square in Arras from 2 - 5 July.

Tickets for the festival are on sale priced from €50 for day tickets, €140 for three day passes and €170 for the four days. Camping tickets are also available.
