V Festival Chelmsford tickets sell out

Last few tickets available for Staffordshire

Tickets for the Chelmsford leg of this year's V Festival have sold out, organisers have confirmed.

Hyland Park passes were snapped up in just two hours with fans wanting to catch the likes of Oasis, The Killers, Fatboy Slim and The Specials in August.

There are still a limited number of tickets available for the Weston Park, Staffordshire leg of the festival and a few coach passes for the Chelmsford event.

Speaking about the ticket sales, festival director Bob Angus said: “We’re really pleased that despite these uncertain times V Festival has clearly been embraced once again by music fans looking for a great weekend of entertainment. It’s a fantastic endorsement of the format of the festival and the strength of this year’s bands set to perform.”

V Festival 2009 takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffs from 22-23 August.
