The Pogues to headline Beautiful Days
Hawkwind, The Levellers also top the bill

Shane MacGowan and Co will top the bill on the Saturday (22 August), while space rockers
Hawkwind will mark their 40th anniversary in style with a
one-off light and laser spectacular, bringing the Friday (21 August) night to a close.
As always,
The Levellers will headline the Sunday (23 August),
while organisers have also announced that The Saw Doctors, the reformed Lamb, Gong
and The Imagined Village will perform over the weekend.
Other names confirmed today include Pendulum
who will DJ in The Little Big Top, Dub Pistols, who will be playing live, Cara Dillion,
punk newcomers The King Blues and Eliza Carthy.
Lau,
Imelda May and the reformed Edward II will also play the boutique bash along with Kris Drever,
John McCusker & Roddy Woomble Trio, singer songwriter John Smith, Sonic Boom
Six, Les Truttes, Chris T-T, Jay Jay Pistolet and Rurrai
Joseph.
Beautiful Days 2009
will take place at Escot Park, Devon from 21-23 August.
Tickets are already on
sale at £100 for a weekend camping pass. There are children tickets and campervan passes available
too.

The festival is the brainchild of The Levellers and it boasts live music over five stages,
family camping, a huge children’s area in the centre of the festival, food & craft stalls, real ale bars and onsite
art with many more acts yet to be confirmed.
