Manic Street Preachers, more for Oxegen

The Welsh rockers, who are currently working on their ninth album, just using lyrics from their deceased guitarist Richie Edwards, will play the Best European Festival alongside art rockers TV On The Radio.

Rising pop act Lady Ga Ga, Oxford maths rockers Foals and Friendly Fires have also been added to the bill alongside rapper The Game and 'Sit Down' band James.

Organisers have also announced a new stage: the Red Bull Academy Arena which will feature emerging artists like Of Montreal, Florence and The Machine and Ladyhawke, with more to be announced.

Today's confirmations join headliners Kings Of Leon, The Killers, Blur and Snow Patrol with many more names on the bill.

Oxegen 2009 will take place at Punchestown Racecourse, County Kildare from 10-12 July.

Tickets are on general release this Friday (6 March) at 8am.
