The Streets to headline Kendal Calling
Cornershop, Scroobius Pip poetry night and more

Mike Skinner and Co will be joined by Asian indie lads Cornershop, alt folksters The Travelling
Band and The Yard.
15-piece hip hop and RnB band Riot Jazz will also
appear at the Cumbria event alongside goth rockers The Kasms and pop punk group The Kabeedies.
Scroobius Pip has also been confirmed to return to the festival to host a night of poetry.
Organisers are set to announce over 150 acts including comedy, spoken word and Kendal’s own take on the Olympic Games.
As previously reported, the event will now take place at Lowther Estate in Cumbria at the end of
July.
Tickets go on sale from 9am tomorrow (27 February).
Kendal Calling 2009 will run from 31 July to 2 August.
