The new Knebworth festival will be their only UK festival appearance of 2009 after cancelling thier Hammerfest
date due to recording commitments.
Speaking about their Sonisphere confirmation, the band’s Matt
Tuck said: "We are really sorry to not be playing Hammerfest and apologise to fans. Hopefully, playing
the very first Sonisphere will compensate. We’ll throw everything at it, you have to when you’re alongside such
amazing bands at such a historic rock venue. We can’t wait, it will be a brilliant homecoming."
Metallica
and Linkin Park will headline the inaugural event and it will include performances from Lamb Of God,
Mastodon, Alice In Chains and more.
