The recently reformed techno pioneers, made up of brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll, will
celebrate 20 years in the business with a slot at the two-day dance event.
They will be joined by twisted fire
starters The Prodigy as bill-toppers, as the band get set
to make a dent in the music industry again this summer with their new LP 'Invaders Must Die'.
Australian
drum n bass gods Pendulum have been announced as the third
headliner for the festival, after their storming live shows have made them one of the dance acts to catch in 2009.
Speaking about Global's first announcement, festival organiser James Algate said: "This year's
festival once again promises electronic music fans a stellar line-up. With the live stage, eight musical arenas, including
the Godskitchen marquee, the biggest in Europe holding a staggering 15000 people, this summer’s weekend is set to be
a crowd pleaser.
"The festival has always been pioneering in improving the customer experience and listening
to feedback through the busy online community. This year is no exception and we are pleased to announce a deposit ticketing
scheme for this summers festival."
Global
Gathering 2009 will take place at Long Marston Airfield, Stratford Upon Avon from 24-25
July.
Tickets for the event are already on sale priced at £115, with festival-goers
being given the chance to secure a pass with a £50 deposit. The remaining balance must be paid before
midnight on 15 May.

55,000 are expected to attend the non-stop electronic
music weekender for a superb mixture of live and DJ talent and visuals and sound systems that organisers say will "take
the crowd to another dimension."
