Levellers help complete Big Session bill

They join Billy Bragg, Eliza Carthy and more

The Levellers have helped to complete the line-up for this year's Big Session festival.

They will headline the festival alongside Billy Bragg and the event's creators Oysterband.

Other names on the bill include Adrian Edmondson And The Bad Shepards, Blyth Power and Ella Edmondson as well as Eliza Carthy and the recently reformed Edward II.

The festival will celebrate its fifth birthday this year with a wide selection of folk and roots acts over three stages. There will also be lunchtime and impromptu sessions over the weekend as well as Ceilidh, children’s activities, food stalls and bars.

Big Session Festival 2009 will take place at De Montfort Hall, Leicester from 19-21 June.

There are only a few early bird tickets on sale priced at £60 for the whole weekend.
