Franz Ferdinand self-confirm Glastonbury
Band's website and MySpace verify rumours

The Scottish rockers cemented rumours about their appearance at the event on both their official website and their MySpace.
The group, whose hits include 'Take Me Out', 'Matinee' and 'Ulysses', will perform on the
Saturday (27 June), but the stage and set times haven't been announced.
Virtual Festivals predicted the band's appearance last year after they performed at the Pilton Equinox
Party, alongside The Ting Tings and The Travelling Band, who are also rumoured
for the UK's Best Major Festival.
Other names expected to play include Bruce Springsteen,
Neil Young, Blur and Kanye West.

Glastonbury Festival 2009 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset from 24-28
June.
Tickets for the event have sold out but there will be a limited number of returned tickets on sale
from 5 April, but those wishing to buy returns must register by 31 March.
