PJ Harvey among first Camp Bestival acts
Candi Staton, Erol Alkan, poets, comedy and more
Chic featuring Nile Rogers, Mercury Rev,
Candi Staton and the critically-acclaimed Bon Iver are also among the live acts set for the UK's Best
New Festival.
Roots Manuva, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Dub
Pistols and Hayseed Dixie will also perform over the weekend alongside Beadryman,
Ebony Bones and The Cuban Brothers.
DJs set for the family-friendly festival
include Erol Alkan, Zane Lowe, DJ Yoda, High Contrast,
DJ Derek and Skream. Others hitting the decks will include Greg Wilson,
Scratch Perverts, Benga and the event's curator Rob Da Bank.
Comedian Frankie Boyle will make his only festival appearance at Camp Bestival alongside
Phill Jupitus, Marcus Brigstocke and Andrew Maxwell.
The festival will also feature
a literature arena and poets as well as over 100 free things to do for children. The Bestival spin-off will also have a silent
disco, coffee mornings, boutique camping and a River Cottage Café with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

Camp Bestival 2009 will take place at
Lulworth Castle, Dorset from 24-26 July.
The festival, now in its second year,
is a twist on the holiday camps of yesteryear and it even has its own Hi De Hi style bluecoats with Miguel Cuban Brother in
charge.
The family-friendly event which was described as "perfect" by last year's headliners
The Flaming Lips is set to have much more for all ages including a Bollywood arena, rock n roll tent, comedy, spoken word,
theatre in the woods, films projected onto the castle walls and a real animal farm.
Tickets are on sale now priced
at £130 for an adult weekend pass, with more prices available.
