03 February 2009

All the passes to the UK's Best Major Festival have been snapped up.

Speaking about the news, co-organiser Emily Eavis said: "We're chuffed to bits that we've managed to sell so many tickets so far ahead, especially when you look at the weather outside.

"Thanks to everyone for keeping the faith; it's certainly shaping up to be another vintage year for Glastonbury Festival, with a brilliant line up to be unveiled in June."

After the success of the 2008 event, which Virtual Festivals called, "one of the best Glastonbury festivals in a decade," festival-goers have been eager to get passes for the five-day event.

There will be a limited number of returned tickets on sale from 5 April, but those wishing to buy returns must register by 31 March.
