Bloc Party and more for Oxegen

The art-rockers will be joined by indie pop group The Script and the 'I Kissed A Girl' singer Katy Perry.

Today's confirmations join headliners The Killers, Snow Patrol and Kings Of Leon, who will play for the second consecutive year.

Oxegen 2009, which was voted Best European Festival last year, will take place at Punchestown Racecourse, County Kildare from 10-12 July.

Tickets go on general release on Friday 6 March at 8am. However those registered on the official website can take advantage of an exclusive pre-sale from Wednesday 25 February.

Today's confirmations are a good indicator of the bands that will play T In The Park 2009, as both festivals usually share line-ups.
