Headliners announced for Rock Werchter

Coldplay and Metallica have been confirmed as headliners for this year's Rock Werchter.

They will be joined by The Killers and Placebo as Belgium's biggest festival begins to take shape.

Around 80,000 festival-goers are expected to attend the festival which unfolds across two stages.

Rock Werchter 2009 will take place in the village of Werchter, Belgium from 2-5 July.

Rock Werchter tickets are yet to go on sale, but you will be able to buy them for Virtual Festivals when they are available.
