The alternative rockers, whose 21st album 'The Eternal' is set for release this June, revealed that they're set
for one or two festivals this summer and the Somerset event is in their sight.
Speaking to 6Music
singer Thurston Moore said: "I'm almost positive we'll definitely be doing one or two festivals
in the UK."
"I wanna play Glastonbury because it’s such a disaster camp and I really enjoy that.
"The general consensus amongst musicians I know is that it's like walking into the pit of hell, and in some
way it really feels like that."
The last UK festival the band played was All Tomorrow's Parties Nightmare
Before Christmas in 2006.
Glastonbury Festival 2009 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset
from 24-28 June.
