Depeche Mode to play Pinkpop 2009

Placebo and The Kooks are also confirmed

Depeche Mode will play eight European festivals in 2009 after being confirmed for Pinkpop.

The synthpop trio will perform on the main stage on Sunday 31 May.

Post grunge rockers Placebo have also been announced today alongside British indie quartet The Kooks.

Pinkpop Festival 2009 will take place at Megaland in Holland from 30 May to 1 June, but tickets will not go on sale until 7 March.
