Metallica to play Festival de Nimes
US metal giants announce first European festival date

They will be stopping off in southern France to play the Festival de Nimes on July 7 on the back of a mammoth Europe-wide stadium tour.
The festival, held
in the city’s stunning Roman amphitheatre, will run on selected dates throughout that month and usually puts on a host
of big names with the likes of Lenny Kravitz and Vanessa Paradis playing last year.
Tickets for the Festival de Nimes 2009 will be available from December 5.
