Queens of the Stoneage for Big Gig on the Green!

As we had predicted, Queens Of The Stone Age have now been confirmed for the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Big Day Out at the Green on Sunday, August 24th at Glasgow Green. The band join the Red Hot Chili Peppers, PJ Harvey and Foo Fighters.

Says Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme: "We love Scotland. It's full of crazy people who can drink, fuck and party in a manner befitting the Queens, and we can't wait to give Glasgow a night they'll never remember. Any country who's most famous product is high grade alcohol is like a second home to us. We can't wait to play on the Green again."

The event's promotor Geoff Ellis suggested that the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl (who drummed for Queens last year) may be planning to perform a guest slot with the band on drums, but we'll have to wait and see!
