Liverpool's Major Major win a slot at Worthy Farm

The Liverpool quartet were victorious in the final of the contest, which took place at the nearby village of Pilton.
The band also performed alongside Franz Ferdinand, The Ting Tings and The
Travelling Band at the Pilton Equinox Party, an event hosted by the Eavis' to thank locals for
being understanding about the Worthy Farm festival.
As
previously reported Rolf Harris confirmed himself for next June's Glastonbury on Dermot O'Leary's
Radio 2 Show.
Organisers are yet to announced where either of the acts will perform at the festival.
Glastonbury Festival 2009 will take
place at Worthy Farm, Somerset from 26-27 June with early rumours suggesting performances
from Radiohead, Razorlight and Kanye West.
Tickets are on sale
now priced £175 for the weekend or registered festival-goers are able to put a deposit of £50
down now and pay the remainder of the balance by February 2009.
