Lovebox finally wins a UK Festival Award

Bash beats off Bestival, but Rob Da Bank is still a winner

Lovebox Weekender has finally picked up a UK Festival Award after coming close for the last few years.

The London festival won the Best Medium Festival prize, stopping Bestival from scooping the honour four years in a row.

But the Bestival team didn’t go away empty-handed after their latest soiree Camp Bestival took away the gong for Best New Festival.

However, the family-orientated event didn't prove popular enough to win the Best Family Festival prize, with Larmer Tree Festival getting the nod from voters.

The Big Chill was the only festival to take home back-to-back awards, picking up the prize for Best Toilets for the second year running.
