The singer, artist and television presenter described his booking as 'wonderful' when he spoke to Dermot
O'Leary on his Saturday radio show.
Harris said: "Well I'm doing Glastonbury again this
coming year, in '09, which is wonderful."
The singer, who is famed for inventing the 'wobble
board', last appeared at the festival in 2002. No date has been confirmed for his appearance next year.
Other
names that look likely to perform at next year's event include Franz Ferdinand, The Ting Tings
and The Travelling Band after they all played at the recent Pilton Equinox Party – a bash for Glastonbury
locals put on by the Eavis'.
Glastonbury
Festival 2009 will be held at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset from 24-28 June.
Tickets are on sale now priced £175 for the weekend or registered festival-goers are able to
put a deposit of £50 down now and pay the remainder of the balance by Februarys 2009.
